Middle School Youth Ministry

MISSION STATEMENT

St. George Youth Ministry is formed to serve the youth of this parish from Junior High through College. We call young people to active participation in the life, mission and work of our faith community. We accomplish this through offering a comprehensive program including the components recommended by the US Catholic Bishops in the 1997 document, Renewing the Vision of Catholic Youth Ministry.

STAY-CATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School begins Monday July 13! Every Monday beginning Monday July 13 Ė Monday August 10 a new set of videos will be posted on the St. Julie Billiart and St. George websites, for you to watch and discuss with your family at your convenience. Donít worry if you miss a week, we will keep all the videos up until Late August!

The videos will include; skits about the topic or story of the week, Bible lessons and reflections, Craft tutorials, and Dance lessons. The videos will be presented by our D.O.C.K. Youth Ministry teens and a few special guests as well. The videos will be available on both of the parish websites.

Our theme this year is Message Received: Hearing Godís Call. Over the course of 5 lessons, 1 each week, participants will hear different stories about people in the Bible who were called at different points in Salvation History to rise up and help build Godís Kingdom. From Samuel to the early Apostles, kids and families will learn about the variety of ways we can hear Godís Voice in the world around us.

T-shirts will be available to order for $ 10. If you are interested in a T-shirt let Holly know by July 20, 2020, at: holly@stjulie.org.

We hope you enjoy the work that our teens put into the videos and they lead to lively and fruitful conversations in your home. We would love to hear from you! If you want to show off what you are learning, feel free to send pictures or videos to Holly at holly@stjulie.org so we can post them for others to see!
