Due to COVID-19, our Christmas Giving Tree Season will be a little different as there will be no Giving Trees at the entrances of Church filled with our colorful tags from SVDP, Women’s Center, Saint. Coletta and Saint Gerard (our sharing parish)!
However, you can still support our Parish Christmas Giving Tree by purchasing gift cards, which can be purchased through our PART Program, or by giving a monetary donation if you are unable to shop for a gift card. The gift cards or monetary donation can be returned in the collection basket at Church or dropped off at the parish office in a white envelope labeled with the group you chose.
Each year the Christmas Giving Trees provide Saint George Parish a unique opportunity to work with the entire community by coordinating resources to meet the needs of a child or family who might not have the ability to share in the spirit of the holiday season. Saint George Parish will once again be sharing gifts with:
- Saint Coletta’s Group Home provides residential, educational, and vocational services to men and women with developmental disabilities. Suggested gift amount of $25.
- Children from Saint Gerard Majella (our sharing parish). Suggested gift amount of $25.
- Saint Vincent DePaul families from our parish who are going through a hard time due to illness, job loss, or other unforeseen circumstances. This Christmas, support a family in need to buy a gift for their child(ren), food for their holiday table, or alleviate the burden of fulfilling a basic need. We are asking for gift cards, through the PART program in the amount of $25.
- The Women’s Center children saved from abortion. Suggested gift amount of $25.
If you have any questions or would like to help with our Christmas Giving Tree, please call Darlene Georges at 708-532-2243 Ext. 507.
Thank you for your generosity and continuing support to our Parish Christmas Giving Tree Ministry by helping those in need this Christmas.
