Lent 2022

Lenten Regulations:

Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday and on all the Fridays of Lent.  Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59.  Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal.  Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength according to one’s nends, but eating solid foods between meals is not permitted.  The special Paschal fast, as well as abstinence, are prescribed for Good Friday and encouraged for Holy Saturday.

Ash Wednesday – March 2:

8:15 AM  –  Mass with ash distribution (live streamed)
12:00 PM  –  Mass with ash distribution
3:30 PM  –  Prayer Service with ash distribution
6:30 PM  –  Mass with ash distribution

All of the above services will be broadcasted o:n FM radio to the parking lot and ashes will be distributed in the parking lot.

 Eucharistic Adoration:

Tuesdays, March 5, 15, 22 and 29, April 9 and 12 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.  Please note that Holy Family Chapel will be closed during the Triduum (April 14, 15 and 16).

Parish Lenten Mission: 

Wednesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 24 at 700 PM.  Join us for “Lord, don’t you know that we are suffering?” presented by Father Tom Puslecki.  The mission will take place in church.

Stations of the Cross: 

Led on Fridays by Saint George School children at 2:15 PM (live streamed).  Stations will also take place on Friday evenings at 7:00 PM.  

Parish Reconciliation Service:  

Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 PM in Church.

Weekly Reconciliation:  

Saturdays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM before 4:00 PM Mass.  Confessions will not be heard on Holy Saturday.

Weekday Masses:

Monday through Friday at 8:15 AM (live streamed)..

Lenten Retreat on Zoom:

The focus of this retreat is Father Michael Gaitley’s book, “Consoling the Heart of Jesus”.  This retreat combines the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius with the teachings of Saint Therese of Liseux.

Palm Sunday – April 10: 

Saturday Anticipated Mass at 4:00 PM
Sunday Masses at 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM.

Blessing of palms will take place at all Masses 
Palms will be brought to your car during Mass.  


Holy Thursday – April 14: 

Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 PM.
Private Adoration until 10:00 PM.

Good  Friday – April 15:  

Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord at 3:00 PM.
Stations of the Cross at 7:00 PM.

Holy Saturday – April 16:  

Blessing of Baskets at Noon in O’Connell Hall
Easter Vigil at 7:00 PM

Easter Sunday – April 17:

Masses at 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
