Order of Christian Initiation for Adults

For many people interested in becoming Catholic or entering into full communion with the Catholic Church, the process can be somewhat confusing or intimidating. After all, this is a major decision in one’s life. The decision to join the Church is exciting and will lead to a deepening of personal faith and relationship to God, others, and self. No matter what has brought you here, the fact that you are interested in taking the next step shows your openness to God and God’s call in your life.

Many individuals have completed the OCIA journey and now live lives rooted in faith, service, and love. One such individual, Hunter (2025), shared his experience:

“I was baptized and made my Holy Communion with St. George Catholic Church toward the end of my teenage years. I later lost my way from the faith, but by the grace of God I returned and was welcomed back with open arms by my home parish. I received the Sacrament of Confirmation in April 2025. Despite my fumbles, they believed in me and helped me renew my faith. They set the gold standard for OCIA. Rest assured, whoever you are, you are in good hands. God bless.”
