The Sacrament of Reconciliation brings us the opportunity to come before Our Lord to receive God’s forgiveness and the welcome of the People of God in the Church (John 20:23).  Just as the Prodigal Son was welcomed by his father (Luke 15: 11-32), so we are embraced by God’s loving forgiveness.
