Housing is a basic human need

Housing is the basic necessity of every human being along with food  and water.

Sadly, many people are without a simple decent place to live safely and in dignity.

How we help

Together with the assistance of Crossroads Missions, seven parishes of Vicariate VE aim to assist Will County Habitat for Humannity through fundraising for building materials, and by constucting the house framing on the Build Day.

The walls are transported to the home site where Will County Habitat for Humaity will complete the house with other volunteers and skilled tradespeople.

Upon completion, the home will be dedicated to a family in nened.

Donate

We need to raise approximately $15,000 to fund this project.

Saint George Parishioners were very generous with the last House Build project. Your donation for this House Build will help a family in need of shelter secure a safe and secure place to live. The family will participate in the completion of the house on site. Please place your donation in an envelope marked Crossroads Mission House Build. Drop it in the collection basket on Sundays or drop off at the parish office.   Any donation large or small will be appreciated.
