Summer Soul Refreshment Series

As spiritual activities over the summer, Saint George Music Ministry will present some musical prayer services. These prayer services are inspired by the Taizé musical prayer style, which is to say they are music-based prayers, with scripture readings and a time of silent reflection. Each has a theme and will last under an hour. The services will take place on: Friday, July 14, 2023, 7:00 PM: – Theme: Sacred Creation and Saint Kateri Tekakwitha (whose feast day is the 14th), and Thursday, August 10, 2023, 7:00 PM – Theme: a Meditation on the Lord’s Prayer

Calling Saint George Men!

All Men of the parish are invited to attend the monthly Men’s Club meeting this Tuesday, June 20 at 6:30 PM in Room 2 and 3 located in the Cahill Center.

At the meeting, we will continue to plan for the future of the Men’s Club and discuss the leadership structure of the group. We will also plan events for the near future as well as brainstorm opportunities to better serve the Saint George faith family.

So, come on out and enjoy the company of your friends and make some new friends. Have a beverage or two and help us to continue to grow the Saint George family. Don’t forget to bring a friend. See you there!

BINGO at Saint George

BINGO takes place on Friday Nights in O’Connell Hall and the Georgian Room. Doors open at 5:00 PM and games begin at 7:00 PM. Come for fun and fellowship! Bring your own snacks! For more information, call the school office at 708-532-2626.

Thank You Father Tom

Father Tom will be leaving Saint George for a new assignment on July 1. Please join us on June 24 for a farewell Mass and gathering at 4:00 PM in church. A reception with light refreshments will be held in the Parish Life Center immediately after Mass.

If you are unable to attend Father Tom’s farewell celebration on Saturday, June 24, please take a moment after Mass on Sunday, June 25 to wish him well. He will be in the Narthex after all the Masses.

If you are new to our church or just visiting, please introduce yourself. We are happy to share in this celebration of the Eucharist. If you do not have a church home, we invite you to become a part of our parish.

The Saint George Parish Registration Team is happy to announce that registration for new parishioners will take place on the third Sunday of the month after the 9:30 AM Mass in the Parish Life Center, Meeting Room 1.

Holy Family Chapel

Tinley Park Food Pantry

Donations of non-perishable food for the Tinley Park Food Pantry can be brought to Saint George Church on the third weekend of each month. Please note: We cannot accept food items that are past the expiration date or partially opened. Thank you for your generosity!
